EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles

It has been a couple of weeks now, but I received an email notifying me that I had achieved “Expert Author Status”.  I must say it was pretty neat receiving recognition like that.  I try share things and people I find interesting, on the internet and in day-to-day life.  In my writing, I always try to be fair and treat people the way I want to be treated.

Ezine Articles is basically a portal of writers, like myself that are looking for more exposure and a wider reader base.  They have truly gotten the process down to a science and weed out spammers and content copiers with ease.  It is an honor to be associated with them and from my articles posted, I have definitely received more readers and subscribers.

Have a blog or like writing? Why not become a part of Ezine Articles and share your opinions and views with the world.

What Can EzineArticles.com Do For You?

EzineArticles.com is a matching service — bringing real-world experts and ezine publishers together.
Expert Authors & Writers are able to post their articles to be featured within the site. Our searchable database of hundreds of thousands of quality original articles allows email newsletter publishers hungry for fresh content to find articles that they can use for inclusion within their next newsletter (up to 25 articles per year per our Publisher TOS).

What Makes The EzineArticles System Unique?
Your articles are managed by our proprietary management software designed to give you maximum exposure to our loyal audience of hundreds of thousands of daily visitors and our email newsletter publisher audience who EACH have thousands, tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of email list members of their own. That means your original articles and expertise may be exposed to hundreds of thousands or even millions of people rather than waiting passively for someone to syndicate it on yet another website with no traffic.

SezWho is gone, says Jitendra Gupta

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

I received this email on Friday, March 27, 2009.

Hello,

SezWho has been unable to continue our service and we need to shut down the site. Fortunately, our friends at JS-Kit are helping to keep the service up until March 31, 2009.

We strongly encourage you to Upgrade to JS-Kit Commenting Now!

We selected JS-Kit because they are the world’s largest distributed social network, connecting over 600,000 publishers with light weight, cross domain services, including Comments, Ratings, and Polls.

Sincerely,

Jitendra Gupta
Founder, SezWho

It seems as though time has run out for Jitendra and many users of SezWho.com… Myself included.  When I first looked at this plug-in and network, it seemed like a pretty good tool, although a little sluggish; to enhance a blog and let readers rate articles and comments from other readers and give everyone a form of instant feedback.  I’m sure that SezWho brought in most of their revenue through advertising and joint networks with other applications, but with they ran into a little trouble back in July of 2008 as seen here, when they partnered up with some big names in the blogging community.

Sadly, even that didn’t work out and they find themselves closing up shop. The world economic downturn is reaching more people every day. Although you may read about other issues in this company closure about skeptical companies SezWho partnered with, it’s obvious that people without jobs cannot spend money, businesses cannot advertise when people are not using their products or services and newspapers, magazines and websites will not be able to survive without advertising revenues from those companies.

Bottom line though. The SezWho application and product and community was a good one, I will miss it and so will many other bloggers.

Very cool tool from Snap.com

Monday, November 24th, 2008

I am always searching for cool little tools out there to make the web easier and more fun to use.  As a programmer, I’ve learned that there is no need to re-invent the wheel when there are so many solutions from all over the world that the internet brings to our doorsteps.  So with that said, check out this little tool called Snap Shops from snap.com.  Here is the hype directly from them!

It enhances links with visual previews of the destination site, interactive excerpts of Wikipedia articles, MySpace profiles, IMDb profiles and Amazon products, display inline videos, RSS, MP3s, photos, stock charts and more.

Sometimes Snap Shots bring you the information you need, without your having to leave the site, while other times it lets you “look ahead,” before deciding if you want to follow a link or not.

Should you decide this is not for you, just click the Options icon in the upper right corner of the Snap Shot and opt-out.

So there you have it, add it to your site, blog, profile or whatever online presence you have! And if you want browser based tools and things for your local computer check out their downloads page.
